The first sign of John Tortorella's imprint on the Flyers will come in training camp and the preseason.
"I am going to coach that team hard right away," the Flyers' new head coach said last month. "It’s going to be a very difficult camp, a high volume of skating. They will be told about this during the summer here as far as how we're going to approach this. We’re attacking it, we’re attacking it."
Tortorella's club will have six exhibition contests to attack things before the real games begin.

The Flyers' preseason slate features three home games at the Wells Fargo Center, starting Sept. 24 against the Bruins. The team will visit Boston, Buffalo and New York.
Over that time, the Flyers will have roster decisions to make and players will have to get acclimated to Tortorella's preferences.
"Guys are definitely a little anxious, but I think that's what you want," Cam Atkinson said last month. "I think it's good for your team to be anxious going into training camp and the start of the season."
Here's the Flyers' 2022-23 preseason schedule:
- Saturday, Sept. 24 — vs. Bruins (7 p.m. ET)
- Tuesday, Sept. 27 — at Sabres (7 p.m. ET)
- Wednesday, Sept. 28 — vs. Capitals (7 p.m. ET)
