LeSean McCoy made his third Pro Bowl this season, but for the first time he isn’t going.

McCoy won’t participate in next Sunday’s exhibition at University of Phoenix Stadium because of an undisclosed injury that isn’t considered serious, per an NFL source.

The Philadelphia Inquirer first reported McCoy’s intention to back out of the game.

McCoy didn’t miss any games this past season but battled a foot injury in training camp and banged up his knee in the Eagles' season finale against the Giants at MetLife Stadium.

McCoy never appeared on an injury report during the regular season except for a missed practice for personal reasons after the death of his cousin.

After the season finale, McCoy spoke candidly about the probability that the team will ask him to restructure his contract. He carries a cap figure of $11.95 million next season.

The NFL will soon announce McCoy’s replacement. McCoy was one of five Eagles initially named to the Pro Bowl along with center Jason Kelce, left tackle Jason Peters, outside linebacker Connor Barwin and return specialist Darren Sproles.

Left guard Evan Mathis made it as an alternate when Saints guard Jahri Evans pulled out with an injury. Rookie kicker Cody Parkey, also an alternate, will also get in once Patriots kicker Stephen Gotskowski or Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri must back to out to appear in the Super Bowl.

Barwin, by the way, picked up a $900,000 bonus for reaching contract escalators and will see his salary jump to $6.4 million in 2015 from $5.5 million.

McCoy is still expected to be in Phoenix for the Pro Bowl and the week leading up to the Super Bowl. He’s hosting a party the night before the Pro Bowl in Scottsdale.
