NBC Universal, Inc. A recap of the Eagles’ gutsy victory over the Saints in Week 3.

What to Know

  • After a ton of frustration on offense early in the game, Saquon Barkley's two fourth-quarter touchdowns put the Eagles up late and led to the tight victory, 15-12.
  • The Eagles defense was the story, forcing four punts and a game-sealing interception from Reed Blankenship against a Saints offense that had been the best in the NFL through two weeks.
  • Injuries were also the story for the Eagles. DeVonta Smith, Darius Slay, Lane Johnson, Mekhi Becton, and Britain Covey all left the game.

The Eagles defense came up huge and Saquon Barkley scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns as the Birds squeaked out a 15-12 win on the road in New Orleans.
