  • 1 p.m.: Eagles at Giants on FOX
  • 4 p.m.: Eagles Postgame Live on FOX
  • 6:30 p.m.: Birds Outsiders on NBCSP

The FOX broadcast crew for Eagles-Giants is Kevin Kugler (play by play), Chris Spielman (analyst) and Laura Okmin (sideline).

Merrill Reese, Mike Quick and Howard Eskin will have the call on 94WIP.

The Eagles’ opened as a mere 3-point road favorite, according to PointsBet. Back in Week 7, the Eagles were 5-point favorites and did not cover, winning 22-21 at the Linc.

The referee for Eagles-Giants is third-year ref Clay Martin. The Eagles are 2-0 when Martin is their ref. The Eagles beat the Colts early in the 2018 season despite a game that featured 21 total penalties. Last year, Martin was the ref for Eagles-Packers when the Eagles pulled off an upset in Lambeau.

Getting healthy

The Eagles are back from their bye week and are finally getting really healthy. Before the bye, they got back Dallas Goedert, Jason Peters, Jalen Reagor and T.J. Edwards from IR and now they’re getting even more players back. Lane Johnson and Miles Sanders are expected to return and there’s a chance Isaac Seumalo could be back too.

Injuries had gotten so bad for the Eagles that they were down to just two remaining starters on offense in the first half in Carson Wentz and Jason Kelce. But things are definitely looking up. The Eagles were able to scratch and claw their way to three wins in their first eight, which was good enough for first in the NFC East, and now reinforcements are coming.

Giants are no joke

Sure, the Giants have a 2-7 record and the Eagles have beaten them in eight straight head-to-head matchups. But the Eagles definitely can’t take New York lightly.

The Giants are coming off a 23-20 win over Washington. So in their last four games, the Giants are 2-2 and their two losses have come by a total of three points — a one-point loss to the Eagles and a two-point loss to the six-win Bucs. No, the Giants aren’t a very good team but they have enough talent to be dangerous, they’re coached well and as long as their quarterback doesn’t turn the ball over, they’re going to be in games.

Will Wentz be better?

Speaking of quarterbacks turning the football over, the Eagles need Carson Wentz to play better in the second half of the season. In the first eight games, he accounted for 16 turnovers, which is more than all but three total teams have right now. That’s awful.

Against the Giants a few weeks ago, Wentz threw an interception on a play that was snapped from the Giants’ 20-yard line. On that one, Wentz tried to throw an off-schedule pass to John Hightower but he and the rookie weren’t on the same page and it was picked off. Just a bad decision in an awful spot. The Eagles were barely able to come back and win that game and they can’t afford more mistakes like that from Wentz in this game.
