LeSean McCoy actually says a few nice things about Chip Kelly

They say time heals all wounds and maybe that's the case with LeSean McCoy.

The Eagles all-time leading rusher has a history of painting Chip Kelly in a negative light ever since Chip sent McCoy packing to Buffalo in exchange for Kiko Alonso. It was a move that caught Shady completely off guard and, as Kelly later admitted, wasn't handled perfectly by Chip and the Eagles.

But with Kelly out the door in Philly and now the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, perhaps McCoy is getting past some of that resentment.

In fact, McCoy actually had some kind of nice things to say about Chip in a chat with the NFL Network, via PFT:

“Every situation is different. The one thing I will say about Chip is that he wants to win,” McCoy said. “He’s very, very intelligent. The offense, they’ll find ways to get the big numbers, they’ll find ways to put the stats up offensively. With him coming in there, no matter how good of a player or low player you are, if you just automatically believe him — no matter if it sounds crazy, you’re like ‘what is he talking about’ — if you just automatically believe and buy in, I think you’ll be fine.”

It wasn't a total Chip lovefest from Shady though, as the Bills' star did paint his current coach, Rex Ryan, in a more positive light when asked to compare the two.

"Rex is a lot more laid back. He's been with teams where the veterans kind of lead the team. There are guys that put players in a position to be more accountable. I think it should be like that. Andy Reid was like that."

"I think Chip Kelly is a guy who is more hands on. There's not really a lot of leaders on the team. He's the leader. He's the guy setting the rules," McCoy said. "His thing is how you approach the game. He's monitoring everything. Where Rex is more, in a big game, 'You know how important this game is. I shouldn't have to tell you to study, I shouldn't have to tell you to get into your playbook. You shouldn't be out late. You should be mentally focused for this game.'"
