Athletes want to get paid, but there's also a recent trend, mostly surrounding our beloved Phillies, where a player may choose to go to a team he really wants to go to even if it's not for the absolute most money he could have gotten -- money on the table.
Now, that's not to say the Eagles can't offer Nnamdi Asomugha the most money of any team, but there's always a Dan Synder type willing to throw out more money than more prudent franchises.
Maybe Asomugha's old pal from the University of California, DeSean Jackson, could do a little sweet talking to help convince the nasty corner to come wear midnight green and play in Philadelphia.

DJacc was a guest on 97.5 the Fanatic and discussed that very topic.
"I’m going to try and see what I can do. When I leave here, I’m going to make a call," Jackson joked.
"During
the Pro Bowl I was actually telling him, 'Come on man, you know we need
you over here.' So I definitely wouldn’t mind calling him."
It's surprising, I know. Choosing the actual phone call over a text message. Either way, we approve of anything that could help land Asomugha in Philly.
