A woman was arrested and officially charged with driving through a crowd of Eagles fans in North Philadelphia on Sunday and injuring several people, police said.

The incident occurred on Sunday around 9:30 p.m. as a group of people were celebrating on North Broad and Spring Garden streets after the Eagles beat the Washington Commanders to earn a trip to the Super Bowl.
DeShields was driving a silver 2018 Mercedes-Benz when she crashed into the group before being stopped and arrested by responding police officers, officials said.

“Everybody dancing, getting along,” a witness told NBC10. “Next thing you know a car coming down and it’s speeding and it hit 10 people.”
Another witness told NBC10 that an argument sparked the incident.
“It was a car. She was on the sidewalk. And she was arguing with some people,” the witness said. “Drove straight down into the crowd and hit probably at least 30 people.”
NBC10 later obtained video of the crash that showed several people struck by the vehicle. "Oh my God," a person could be heard saying in the video.
Investigators said eight people suffered minor injuries and fractures during the incident. NBC10 spotted several injured people at the scene of the crash. Some of the victims had neck braces on, while others had bandages on their arms and legs.
The crash was one of several violent incidents to occur in Philadelphia after the Eagles' victory, including shootings, stabbings and officers who were attacked, police said.
Court documents on DeShields' legal representation are not yet available.
