David Aldridge -- who at least once read this blog! -- did a nice little Q&A over at The Big Lead today. It touches on his thoughts on print journalism, new media, and a myriad of other things. I thought I'd excerpt this bit.
But one of the best things about working in Philly is that I was able
to see that that stereotype about Philly fans being loudmouthed louts
who boo Santa Claus is junk, absolute junk. They are as intelligent as
anybody and they are more passionate than just about everybody. They
just want to win. It’s the only major city that hasn’t won anything in
the last two-plus decades, and they’re tired of excuses and mediocrity,
and I don’t blame them.
Amen. It was part of a response to a question asking why Philly doesn't love Donovan McNabb. Again, we've been through that many times. D.A. hits the nail on the head with that answer as well.

Aldridge's frequent pieces in the Inqy will certainly be missed.
