Who is the biggest celebrity Phillies fan?

The Philadelphia Phillies have one of the most faithful fan bases in all of Major League Baseball.

While some fans have had a bad reputation over the years, there’s a reason why the league's best players want to come to Philadelphia and play in front of the fan base each year. Among that faithful fan base are some of Hollywood’s brightest stars. So we complied a list of some of the most recognizable Phillies fans out there.

Bradley Cooper

Actor Bradley Cooper is probably most notably known for being an Eagles super fan, but he is also a famous fan of the Fighting Phils.

The "Silver Linings Playbook" star was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Jenkintown. Cooper was even seen with Phillies owner John Middleton and his family in Jeffrey Lurie’s suite during the 2018 NFC Championship Game.

Rob McElhenney

It’s no surprise that the creator of "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is a huge Philly sports fan.

McElhenney, who grew up in South Philadelphia and went to St. Joe’s Prep, has made several episodes of his show about the Phillies, including appearances by Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and even the Phillie Phanatic himself.

It’s only right that one of the funniest shows on television features the Phillies.

David Beckham

Many people may assume because David Beckham played for the Los Angeles Galaxy that he was a fan of Los Angeles sports teams.

Beckham is actually a fan of the Phillies and is a good friend of Howard. He frequently follows the team and even in the stands for Roy Halladay’s no-hitter in the 2010 postseason. After that day, he was known as the Phillies’ good luck charm.

Will Smith

The Fresh Prince born and raised in West Philadelphia is probably the most famous person who is a Phillies fan.

He has been pictured many times sporting Phillies gear and accepted the first hip-hop Grammy in 1989 with DJ Jazzy Jeff wearing a Phils jersey.

Tina Fey

Growing up, Tina Fey wanted to be a Phillies ball girl. Instead, she went on to become a famed actress, comedian, writer, producer and playwright. Disappointing, right?

Fey never swayed away from her love for the Phils, though, taking pictures with her favorite pal the Phillie Phanatic and openly rooting for the team during their 2009 World Series run.

Hafthor Bjornsson

Hafthor Bjornsson is most commonly known as "The Mountain" from "Game of Thrones." But besides being a huge man, he is also a huge Phillies fan.

In 2015, he stopped by Citizens Bank Park to get some batting practice in. Unfortunately, he’s a lot better at crushing skulls in the HBO show than crushing baseballs at the park.
